I help Health Tech and MedTech founders identify the right buyers, partners, and commercial path — then work alongside them to create the conversations and momentum needed to move opportunities forward.
You may already have a strong product, clinical proof, customers, pilots, or meaningful market interest. But Health Tech growth is rarely as simple as generating more leads.
The challenge may be who you are targeting, how the value is positioned, which stakeholders need to engage, how existing opportunities are progressing, which partnerships make sense, or what needs to happen before a pilot can become broader adoption.
The first job is figuring out where the real commercial opportunity or bottleneck is. Then we build around that.
Starts with a 20-minute fit conversation.
Founders often reach a point where the technology is no longer the biggest challenge.
Growth starts depending on getting the right organizations and stakeholders to understand the value, trust the solution, and take the next step.
You may know the type of organization you want to reach without knowing which buyer, partner, department, or use case gives you the strongest way in.
Good conversations are happening, but opportunities stall because the business case, stakeholder path, urgency, or next step isn't clear enough.
Referrals, conferences, warm introductions, and founder relationships can create traction, but they are difficult to turn into a consistent commercial process.
A pilot can perform well clinically and still stall if stakeholder alignment, success criteria, implementation, economics, or the path forward were never clearly established.
Sometimes the challenge is creating more of the right conversations. Sometimes the conversations already exist and need to progress. Sometimes the strongest path is an enterprise buyer. Sometimes it's a channel or strategic partner. Sometimes the positioning needs to change before additional business development makes sense. And sometimes the biggest opportunity is already sitting inside the pipeline.
The goal is to identify what is most likely to move the business forward — and focus there.
The initial 90 days give us enough time to understand where growth is getting stuck, choose a priority commercial path, put it into the market, and learn from real conversations and opportunities.
We are not forcing every company through the same playbook. We start with four questions:
From there, we build the engagement around what the business actually needs.
Every company enters at a different point. Some need more of the right conversations. Others already have meaningful interest but need help turning that interest into partnerships, pilots, purchases, or broader adoption.
Depending on the situation, the work may involve buyer or partner strategy, positioning, stakeholder mapping, partnership development, pilot strategy, targeted business development, opportunity progression, follow-up, or building a more repeatable commercial process.
Identify the organizations, channels, use cases, and commercial paths most worth pursuing.
Clarify why the solution matters, who should care, and what different stakeholders need to understand before moving forward.
Understand who experiences the problem, who champions the solution, who influences the decision, and who controls budget or implementation.
Clarify the right commercial next step and what needs to be true for an opportunity to progress.
Create focused conversations with the organizations and stakeholders most likely to be a meaningful fit.
Identify why active opportunities are slowing down and strengthen follow-up, stakeholder engagement, next steps, and momentum.
Turn what works into a clearer process that doesn't depend entirely on the founder recreating it from scratch every time.
The goal isn't to sell you a predetermined system. It's to identify the strongest B2B path and help you execute it.
We look at where you are today: market, traction, customers, partnerships, pipeline, positioning, conversations, and current growth efforts. The goal is to find the real commercial constraint before prescribing a solution.
We identify the buyer, partner, opportunity, or growth path most worth concentrating on first. Rather than trying to pursue every possible market simultaneously, we choose a focused direction worth pressure-testing.
We put the strategy into action. That may involve positioning, target organizations, stakeholder conversations, business development, opportunity follow-up, partnership development, pilot strategy, or another commercial priority identified during the engagement.
Real market response tells us what's resonating, what's stalling, and what needs to change. We use that feedback to improve the process and determine where the strongest opportunities are emerging.
A calendar full of conversations doesn't necessarily mean the business is moving forward. The goal is more of the right conversations and a clearer path for what happens next.
Progress may mean better clarity around the strongest buyer or partner path, engagement from higher-value organizations, stronger stakeholder alignment, more defined pilot or partnership opportunities, stalled conversations beginning to move again, clearer positioning, or a more repeatable way to create and progress B2B opportunities.
There are no guaranteed pilots, partnerships, rollouts, or revenue. What we can build is a more deliberate process for creating and advancing the opportunities capable of leading to them.
I also host The Wellness Growth Show, where I speak with Health Tech and MedTech founders, operators, and healthcare leaders about what actually happens between building a promising solution and getting it adopted.
Those conversations explore enterprise buyers, strategic partnerships, clinical trust, stakeholder alignment, pilots, procurement, implementation, distribution, adoption, and rollout.
The show continually exposes me to founders and operators navigating many of the same commercial challenges I work on directly.
The podcast is a learning and authority platform. The B2B growth work is a separate commercial engagement.
Series 2
I'm Scott Shuman, a B2B Growth Partner working with Health Tech and MedTech founders. My background spans growth strategy, positioning, business development, partnerships, and commercial execution.
Today I work with a small number of companies so I can stay personally involved in the strategy, conversations, and decisions that matter.
I'm most useful when a founder has something valuable, some level of traction or proof, and needs help identifying the strongest commercial path and turning it into a more repeatable B2B growth process.
A Health Tech or MedTech founder or GTM leader selling into organizations rather than purely direct-to-consumer. You may be working with health systems, employers, payers, clinics, benefit organizations, channel partners, distributors, or strategic partners.
You are beyond the idea stage with a real product, service, pilot, customer, or meaningful proof point.
And you are trying either to create more meaningful B2B opportunities or get existing opportunities moving.
Still at the idea stage. Looking only for high-volume lead generation. Expecting guaranteed meetings, pilots, partnerships, or revenue.
Purely B2C with no clear B2B buyer or partner path.
Or looking for tactical execution without being willing to address the underlying commercial strategy.
If you have a strong Health Tech or MedTech solution but growth still depends too heavily on founder relationships, scattered introductions, inconsistent business development, or opportunities that aren't progressing, let's look at where the biggest commercial opportunity may be.
The first conversation is simply about understanding where you are, what you're trying to accomplish, and whether I may be useful.
20-minute fit conversation. No hard pitch.
